Traveling with Kids

Traveling with kids is exhilarating, maddening, invigorating and exhausting all at the same time. Im with ya! 10 things we always travel with to make our life easier: (I wish I could say I have discount codes for all these things but sadly don’t - just wanted to share what we use most. The few things I do have codes for are included below :) thank you for being here!)

  1. A small cooler bag of food. Health tip: I always ask this to be *handchecked at the airport to avoid radiation from scanners. Attendants might roll their eyes or even try to tell you that you have to put it thru the scanner but you don’t and they WILL do it. Specific food we travel with is detailed at the bottom.

  2. Mini Yoto player (kes & Mylah both are obsessed this - we put guided imagery and their fav songs on a card)

  3. Young Living hand sanitizer - we never use the soap in public locations because I’m sure they are loaded with toxins and fragrances so this is clutch. Especially young kids who find a way to touch EVERY gross thing. 10% off if you use that link and use code with $50 purchase: SHAREYL

  4. Branch Basics travel size all purpose spray - I use this mainly to clean my pump parts when on the go, dishes at airbnb, laundry detergent, or to wipe down tables or places that kids are eating on. 15% off starter kits by using that link & code: DRCHARLIE

  5. emf grounding bag for protection on plane & hotel/stay.

  6. 2 other screen free distractions: Painters tape, lol you’d be surprised how many things you can do with this clean and easy plane distraction. Also Magic Ink Mess Free Coloring Book.

  7. Nasal Spray for after flight - Kids one linked here, Adult one linked here

  8. We bring our normal supplement routines AND always pack these 3 for just in case: Acerola & Woad (Supreme Nutrition) AND Immune-Rmor (Ver Vita). Acerola is easiest for kids because it’s a dropper - Vit C boost. Woad great for immune system and for emf protection. Immune-Rmor is a staple in our house for virus or if exposed to illness. Appreciate you using our links - your support means more than you know. XO

As you know, I am not a doctor or health care practitioner - just sharing what works for us. Doesn’t mean it works for you. You know best for your family :)

  9. Elite Harmony, by Ver Vita our favorite Essential Oil. Great to keep immune system strong. We’ll use as preventative and in case any illness presents when we aren’t home. We primarily use this brand of oils because of the quality and intention behind them.

  10. Boiron Homeotravel Kit - It’s rare that we have to use it, but peace of mind especially when you have little ones.

Food we tend to travel with - this shifts slightly because we go through waves of our favorite snacks but as of now:

  • We try to go with fresh food - so i’ll bring pre-washed fruit & veggies - berries, apple, cucumbers, carrots. And many times i’ll cook up ground meat or peas before the flight and bring it. Mainly for Mylah (who is only 1) I don’t prefer her eating anything besides Whole Foods. Not that she doesn’t steal kessa’s but if I can provide her other options she’ll usually try it.

  • Our absolute favorite Jerky is Carnivore Snax - WOAH are they delish, grass fed AND the most minimal ingredients. FYI backordered right now but they are taking pre-sale orders, you bet we ordered just about 1 of everything. Highly recommend!

  • Chomps Jerky Sticks - we like the Mini Turkey sticks for the girls & the pepperoni for me. 15% off Code: DRCHARLIE

  • We order bi-weekly from Thrive Market. Mostly snacks. If you haven’t tried them out - they have 40% your first order if you use this link: 40% off. Our favorites:

    • Thrive Market Organic Coconut Wraps (Mess free :) and kes loves these plain with meat wrapped in it)

    • Solely Organic Whole Fruit Gummies, Mango

    • Thrive Market Organic Sprouted Cashews

    • Ka-Pop! Snacks, Popped Chips

    • SeaSnax - Roasted Seaweed, sounds gross but the kids LOVE. (We avoid the brand Gimme, which is at Whole Foods, because it uses Sunflower Oil. unnecessary in my opinion.)

  • Once Upon a Farm Organic Smoothie Packets - can get at Whole Foods

  • Fat Bombs - Ill homemake this kinda guess and check - 1/2 cup coconut butter, 1/2 cup nut butter, 1/2 cup tiger nut flour, 1T honey, decent amount of sea salt - to taste…sprinkle bee pollen - check my instagram highlights for details!

  • Ashapops
